Free For All Poultry Fun Day

Quiz Bowl and Showmanship Clinic

Kent County Fairgrounds, King Building
Hosted by the Kent County 4-H Poultry Developmental Committee

Quiz Bowl Competition Check- In 9am


Quiz bowl is an event where up to eight youth at a time are sitting at stations with a buzzer, and asked questions regarding poultry.  The first to buzz in will be acknowledged by the moderator and given 5 seconds to begin their answer.  A total of 25 questions will be asked and at the end of the round the scorekeeper announces the placing.
  • Open to all  Kent County youth ages 9-19
  • Awards will be given to all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place contestants
  • Moderator will review guidelines/rules prior to start of event
  • Questions for the quiz bowl will come from the National 4-H Avian Bowl Manual
  • Copies of the manual are available for $5.00 from Glenda Kilpatrick at the main MSUE 4-H office (616) 336-3273 or kilpatri@anr.msu.edu
Showmanship Clinic Check-In 11am

  • Open to all Kent County 4-H youth, cloverbud through senior
  • Do NOT Bring your own bird
  • Each age group will have a designated area as well as facilitator

Welcome To our new Website!  The Kent County 4-H Poultry Developmental Committee is open to any youth or parent who has an interest in poultry. If you want to volunteer or just have a question, please email gailksrp@aol.com or rjekmc@gmail.com .

The purpose of the Poultry Developmental Committee:

1. The poultry project is more than just Fair.
2. Promotion of poultry and poultry activities.
3. Provide opportunities for youth development and youth and community education.
4. To get information out to 4-H poultry people.
